Orion Nebula

The Orion Nebula, or M42, can easily be seen with the naked eye, even from the city, as the middle "star" of Orion's swordi, hanging below the belt of this prominent winter constellation. If you look carefully, you may be able to see that it looks a little fuzzy, and even a small binocular reveals that is in fact not a single star, but a nebula of gas and dust, currently forming new stars.

This is how the Orion nebula looks with 30 minutes exposure time through a small Seestar S50 telescope from my rooftop in the middle of Copenhagen.
